Exciting Updates from the Executive Director of the NAB…

NAB UPDATE - May 1, 2012

With the Triennial Conference just over two months away, pastors and church members are not the only ones making travel plans for Orlando, Florida.  Many of our NAB International Missionaries have been able to schedule home assignment, vacation, or other leave in such a way that they will be able to join us.  At Triennial this year we will be honoring a number of International Missionaries retiring from a career of NAB service (Bill and Luci Lengefeld, Doug and Sharon Woyke, and Pat Lenz), hearing reports from two Field Directors (Cal Hohn from Cameroon and Paul Ewing from Japan), as well as having the opportunity to visit with many other NAB International Missionaries.

NAB Hires New Vice President

From Rob McCleland, PhD.

As the Executive Director, my most important leadership decisions involve hiring outstanding people, positioning them correctly, and resourcing them to serve the churches of our Conference. It is with a grateful heart and an excited countenance that I announce the hiring of our new Vice President of Advancement.

NAB UPDATE - April 9, 2012

Spring greetings from Folsom, CA! As has been the practice of our Executive Team for quite some time now, we want to keep you updated on happenings here at the International Office.

The annual retirement matching contributions for 2011 plan year participants were completed during the last week of March 2012. Full-time NAB pastors and church staff who participate in one of the Conference sponsored retirement plans should see the $300 contribution reflected in their accounts very soon.  NAB contributed $39,300 to retirement accounts for Canadian plan participants and $59,100 for US participants. These contributions are made possible through endowment earnings and ongoing donations to the Ministers’ Retirement Fund.

Our greatest fear…

“Our greatest fear should not be of failure, but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter”

That is thought provoking, isn’t it? That quote comes from Francis Chan, one of our plenary speakers at the 50th Triennial of the North American Baptist Conference. Here are the top ten reasons you should attend:
