DR. JAYME LYNN MCKERCHER, DPT
Defined Term - Cameroon - Physical Therapist  / Instructor

Jayme has been appointed by the North American Baptist Conference to serve in Cameroon, West Africa at Mbingo Baptist Hospital (MBH) for two years.

Isaiah 30:21  'Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, "This is the way; walk in it" '

Jayme is a licensed Physical Therapist.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from University of Sioux Falls, SD and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Creighton University, Omaha, NE.

Jayme is a member of Oak Hills Baptist Church, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  She has served on praise teams, small groups, and taught Bible Studies. Jayme enjoys hiking, walking, running, reading, embroidery, crochet, and piano. She has had 3 years of Spanish and can also speak a little Cantonese and Pidgin English.  Jayme served as a medical volunteer at Mbingo Baptist Hospital in Cameroon from August to November 2009.

Jayme writes:  "In the fall of 2009 I went to MBH for 12 weeks to teach and treat patients. It was such an honor to work alongside Pat Lenz who has been serving in Cameroon as a physical therapist through NAB for 37 years!  While I was there, I worked with the therapy staff and also served as the guest lecturer for the Central Baptist Convention’s annual physical therapy conference. During my time at Mbingo, I fell in love with the culture and the people of Cameroon. God showed me a different side of Himself in the time I spent being with and worshiping with the Cameroonians."

"When I learned that Pat Lenz plans to retire and return to the United States, I recognized the need to continue her ministry of educating more Cameroonians in physical therapy treatments. I began to pray about taking on this role. After much prayer and deliberation, I accepted an appointment by the North American Baptist Conference. This means that soon I hope to be teaching a Cameroonian physical therapy class as well as continuing to educate the current Cameroonian physical therapists on advances in the practice of physical therapy. I also look forward to building relationships and bringing light into the world where God is sending me."

“The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it” 1 Thessalonians 5:24.

Jayme truly feels that God is leading her to Cameroon in medical missions and discipleship ministry.
